What Alculator is
Alculator is pricing software for the US three-tier beverage system. You enter SKUs, pack formats and FOB prices, set distributor and retail margins, and every number from distributor sell-in to shelf price updates as you type — forward from your cost, or backwards from the shelf price you want. Freight, excise and depletion allowances are modelled per SKU; kegs are priced per keg and per pour. It works for beer, wine, spirits, RTDs, hemp and non-alcoholic drinks because the arithmetic is the same; only the margin ranges differ.
The free calculator needs no account. A free account saves one brand to the cloud. Paid plans add markets, SKUs, Excel and PDF sell sheets, share links, team seats and — for distributors — request-pricing links, portfolio import and category analytics. Plans and prices are published; there is no quote-only tier below Enterprise.
What it is not
- Not route accounting or an ERP. Alculator is the pricing step: what a case should cost at every tier, and the sheet you hand a partner. Export CSV on any plan and load it wherever it needs to go.
- Not a spreadsheet template. The maths is one tested engine shared by the calculator, the app, the exports and the share pages; see how the numbers are computed.
- Not tax or legal advice. Excise rates, state rules and hemp deadlines in our articles are sourced and dated, but your accountant and your state regulator have the last word.
Who it is for
Where we are
Alculator launched in 2026. It is independent and small, and it says so: we do not publish customer names, logos, counts or quotes, and we will not until the people behind them agree to be named. What we publish instead is the maths, the limits and the prices. The changelog records what shipped and when.
How it is built
A static site on Netlify; accounts, data and server functions on Supabase (PostgreSQL with row-level security); billing on Stripe; service email through Resend; the optional guide list on Kit. The pricing engine is a single JavaScript module that the calculator, the app, every export and every share page load, and a test suite runs it through golden vectors and tens of thousands of property checks before anything ships. Details, including what we do not have yet, are on the security & data page.
How to reach the team
Through the contact page, or hello@alculator.io. Every message gets a reply from a person who works on the product within one business day. You should rarely need to: the product is self-serve end to end, the Knowledge Base documents every feature, and billing is handled from your account.
